Dr. Haifeng Deng is the associate dean and tenured associate professor of the Law School, Tsinghua University, China. He is also the vice director of the Center for Environmental, Natural Resources and Energy Law of Tsinghua University and the senior research fellow of the CDM Development and Research Center of Tsinghua University. His research is focused on environmental law, nature resource law and energy law. At the same time, he undertakes public service to the legal research societies. He is the standing director of the China Environmental Law Research Society, the Standing Director of the Environmental Research Society of Beijing Law Science Society, the Standing Director and Vice General Secretary of Environmental Law Research Society of China Environmental Science Society and the formal expert of the official version of the legislation on Chinese Climate Change Arrangement Law. Since 1994, he has been involved in approximately 50 important research programs concerning Chinese environmental law, energy law and natural resource law. He has published nearly 60 academic papers, 9 books and an encyclopedia of energy law, including “Legal Liabilities For Climate Change In China”, in the book of Climate Change Liability, published by The Cambridge University Press in 2012; “What should China learn from the CPTPP environmental provisions”, Asian Journal of WTO & International Health Law and Policy,Volume 13, Issue 2, 2018, pp.513-552(SSCI); “Common and Symmetrical Responsibility in Climate Change: A Bridging Mechanism for Adaptation and Mitigation”, Journal of East Asia and International Law, Volume 9, Number 1, 2016,pp.99-119(SSCI); “China's role and contribution in the global governance of climate change: institutional adjustments for carbon tax introduction, collection and management in China”, Journal of World Energy Law & Business, Volume 8, Issue 6, 2015,pp.581-599 (SSCI).
